Introductory Meeting for the First Scientific Conference for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students

As part of the preparations for the First Scientific Conference for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students, held under the theme “From Excellence to Leadership,” an introductory meeting for the conference was held today in the presence of the President of the University of Gharyan and with the participation of a number of the university’s academic and scientific leaders.

Dr. Omar Aboudina delivered an introductory presentation addressing the conference’s vision, objectives, themes, participation guidelines, and its significance in supporting students, encouraging them to engage in scientific research, and showcasing their academic work.

The meeting featured a number of insightful contributions and fruitful discussions addressing ways to ensure the success of the conference, enhance student participation, and provide an appropriate environment for presenting their academic work and scientific research.

In his address, the President of the University of Gharyan reaffirmed his support for the conference and his commitment to its success, emphasizing the importance of supporting student research, encouraging students to participate, and providing opportunities for them to showcase their academic and scientific capabilities in ways that strengthen the university’s academic standing and mission.

The Director of the University’s Research and Consultation Center also emphasized the importance of the conference as an academic platform that brings together undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing them with an opportunity to present their research, exchange knowledge and expertise, and develop their scientific skills. He further highlighted the Center’s commitment to supporting scientific initiatives that contribute to enhancing students’ research capabilities and strengthening the role of scientific research within the university.

The meeting also included an open discussion and contributions from the attendees, reflecting the colleges’ strong interest in the conference and their commitment to active participation.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the University’s Research and Consultation Center and members of the Center’s Scientific Committee; the Dean of the Faculty of Science – Gharyan; the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; the Dean of the Faculty of Science – Al-Asabaa; the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Science – Gharyan, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Dentistry; as well as a number of Heads of Research and Consultation Departments from the Faculty of Science – Gharyan, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Dentistry.

This meeting reaffirms the University of Gharyan’s commitment to advancing scientific research, supporting students and researchers, and expanding academic engagement and collaboration among the university’s colleges, paving the way for a conference that embodies its theme:
