Launch of the First International Conference on Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering – University of Gharyan
The activities of the First International Conference on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, organized by the Faculty of Engineering – University of Gharyan, commenced on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and specialists in the fields of electrical and electronic engineering.
The opening ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Libyan National Anthem. A series of opening addresses were then delivered, including a speech by the Chair of the Preparatory Committee, a speech by the Chair of the Scientific Committee, an address by the Mayor of Gharyan Municipality, and concluding remarks by the President of the University of Gharyan.
The ceremony continued with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, attendees, and researchers presenting their scientific papers, along with expressions of appreciation and gratitude to everyone who contributed to and supported the successful organization of this distinguished scientific event.
The scientific sessions then commenced with a keynote lecture delivered by Professor Dr. Youssef Al-Soufi, chaired by Professor Dr. Labib Dalaoub and Professor Dr. Amer Zreq. Following the lecture, a short breakfast break was held, after which the first sessions for the presentation and discussion of research papers began.
The first day of the conference concluded at 6:00 p.m., with the scientific sessions scheduled to resume on Sunday morning for the second day of the conference at the Faculty of Engineering – University of Gharyan.
The conference reflects the University of Gharyan’s commitment to supporting scientific research, strengthening academic collaboration, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise in electrical and electronic engineering, while keeping pace with the latest scientific and technological developments.
