Preparatory Workshop for Participation in the First Forum on Higher Education and Scientific Research, Entitled “Digital Transformation: Challenges and Solutions”

As part of the preparations for the First Forum on Higher Education and Scientific Research, entitled “The Transformation of Libyan Higher Education: Future Role and Challenges Facing Academic Institutions,” which was approved by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research pursuant to Resolution No. (378), the University of Gharyan held a preparatory workshop on Monday morning, September 27, 2021, in preparation for the University’s participation in the Forum.

The workshop was entitled:

“Digital Transformation: Challenges and Solutions”

The workshop highlighted the importance of digitalization in ensuring the rapid availability and accessibility of information, as well as the time and effort it can save. The workshop also addressed the challenges and difficulties associated with digital transformation and explored potential approaches to overcoming them.

The discussion focused on the following key themes:

• Digitalization and Legislative Challenges
• Digitalization and Individual and Societal Behavior
• The Hierarchy of Digitalization Tools and Means
• The Impact of Digitalization on the Quality of Educational Outcomes
• Digitalization and the Economics of Education

The workshop was attended by the President of the University, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Director of the Information and Documentation Center, the Director of the University’s Quality Office, and the Directors of the Quality Offices at the University’s faculties.
