Research and Consultation Center at the University of Gharyan Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Food Security and Nutrition

On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, the Research and Consultation Center at the University of Gharyan organized a scientific seminar addressing food security and nutrition.

The seminar featured four scientific presentations:

• “Food Security and Nutrition”, delivered by Dr. Emhamed Al-Habshi from the University of Gharyan.
• “The Compliance of Food Commodities and Products with Applicable Standards”, delivered by Dr. Naji Abu Ras from the University of Nalut.
• “Vitamin B17 and Its Importance”, delivered by Dr. Omar Ali Saeed from the University of Gharyan.
• “Growth Promoters and Antibiotics in Poultry Meat”, delivered by Dr. Omar Al-Marhaq.

The presentations were followed by an in-depth scientific discussion addressing the topics presented. The discussion was both informative and constructive, particularly given the direct relevance of these issues to consumers and public awareness of food safety and nutrition.

The seminar forms part of the Research and Consultation Center’s efforts to promote scientific awareness and address issues of direct relevance to society, particularly those related to food security, nutrition, and the safety and quality of food products.
